When Olympiacos terminated contract with Boyan Yordanov, it was clear that the red and whites would have to sign a new opposite. Eventually, the famous club agreed terms with Hermans Egleskalns.
Egleskalns is a Latvian opposite with a significant international experience. He played in Finland for Rovaniemi from 2009 to 2011 where he was the MVP of the Finish league. Then he spent two years in Belgium (2011-2013) where he defended colors of Noliko Maaseik and helped the team win the national title.
Finally, during the last two years (2013-15) Egleskalns was in France, playing for Chaumont. He was averaging 14,7 points in the previous season and there is no doubt that Olympiacos hired a great scorer.
