Matteo Piano, the middle blocker and member of Italy’s National Team, will undergo back operation for a hernia after suffering injury at the end of January.
Modena have not yet announced the recovery time of a player, but it is pretty obvious that the season is over for him. Even participation of Piano at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games is doubtful.
Meanwhile, players of Modena are preparing for Game 3 of quarterfinals of Serie A1 playoffs against Tonazzo Padova, on Sunday, March 20. Current result in series is 1-1.
