The impulsiveness of popular „Spirik“ reflects in gesturing towards fans and rivals on the court, but also in trying to score points that no one else would dare to score because, in case of making a mistake, they would embarrass themselves.
That’s exactly the kind of a point Spiridonov attempted to score in Round 23 of the 2017/18 Russian men’s volleyball championship Superliga game between his team Enisey Krasnoyarsk and Dinamo Moscow (0-3), last weekend. Despite the fact the ball was clearly going out of bounds after the save of one of Dinamo players, „Spirik“ decided to nail it, but what emerged from this certainly made his face redden with embarrassment…
