There are no more dilemmas – Stefano Lavarini will not coach the Brazilian Women’s Volleyball titleholders Itambé Minas next season.

Minas fans were hoping that Lavarini will stay in the club with whom he won the national title after 17 years despite the fact that he took over South Korea Women’s national team earlier. But, the Italian expert decided not to perform a dual role next season and to dedicate himself to the possibility of competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Lavarini said goodbye to Minas in an interview for the website of the Belo Horizonze club.

While coaching Minas in the last two seasons, Lavarini won the Brazilian championship and Cup once as well as the South American club Championship – all this season. He also led Minas to the continental title last season.

This is how Lavarini was welcomed in South Korea upon taking over its Women’s national team.
