Brazilian men’s volleyball giants Sada Cruzeiro have a new head coach.

Filipe-Ferraz

Filipe-Ferraz

After 11 years of defending the colors of Cruzeiro on the court, Filipe Ferraz ended his career as an outside hitter and took charge of the club in the 2021/22 season. Thus, a 41-year-old has replaced the captain’s armband with a coaching suit.

Filipe, who was part of the most successful Brazilian volleyball project since 2010, raised 39 trophies with Cruzeiro. He was one of the key players in the entire journey of the Contagem side in the last decade and now, he accepted a new role. Filipe will have a difficult task to continue the work of Argentine Marcelo Méndez, who commanded Cruzeiro until a month ago and led the club those 39 titles we just mentioned.
