Jaqueline is a volleyball legend, there is no doubt. She remained without a club before the World Championships in Italy because of the rules of the Brazilian Volleyball Federation.
She has often cried in the last three months – from the preparations of the Brazilian national team for the World Championships, through the competition, until the period that preceded the signing for Minas.
Almost daily she appealed for some club in Brazil to sign a contract with her while at the same time she refused any idea of going to Europe, from where she had offers, in order not be separated from the family.
Her husband Murilo, also the world’s volleyball star, became involved in the story, explaining the same as Jaqueline.
And in all that time, with not playing anywhere, she was the one who mostly lost, because she was out of the competitive drive and championships around the world have begun. Finally, after so much hype, Jaqueline signed for Minas… and again – tears!
