A scary scene occurred during playoff quarterfinals of Brazil’s championship, on Friday.

Luizomar de Moura, the coach of Vôlei Nestlé/Osasco, felt sick during one time-out and fell down! His players and players of rivals Terracap/Brasília Vôlei were in despair. After being taken to the „Heart Hospital“ in São Paulo, Luizomar underwent a series of tests and spent the night in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

„Luizomar had a cardiac arrhythmia in the interval between the first and second sets of yesterday’s game. He was taken consciously and oriented to the Heart Hospital, where the arrhythmia has been reversed. He spent the night in the Intensive Care Unit and was carrying out additional tests. He is clinically stable, and getting good results in examinations. He should be discharged later this weekend,“ Osasco issued official note.

Osasco easily won Game 1 while Game 2 is scheduled for March 15.
