VakıfBank secured a huge advantage before the rematch of the 2020 Champions League quarterfinals against Dinamo, which will be held in Istanbul on March 12. In a duel of the two teams that have 15 titles in the competition combined (Dinamo 11, VakıfBank 4), and which was a repeat of the last year’s quarterfinal, Turkish champions swept Russian titleholders on the road by a 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-17). Only two players finished the match in double digits in scoring, one in each team: the Swede from the winning side Isabelle Haak (21 points) and Dinamo’s Nataliya Goncharova (17 points). A display of one more player needs to be stressed: Milena Rašić, the Serbian international from “Vakıf”, made 5 kill blocks.

Two quarterfinal matches are postponed due to coronavirus epidemic, while Allianz MTV Stuttgart (GER) and Antonio Carraro Imoco Conegliano (ITA) will play tomorrow (March 4) at 19:00 CET.
