Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie continues its historic run in the CEV Champions League, securing a spot in the Final Four after a dominant 3-1 victory (25:19, 25:19, 23:25, 25:20) over SVG Luneburg in the quarterfinals’ second leg.
Having already won the first match 3-0, the Polish vice-champions needed just two sets to advance—but they didn’t stop there. Led by Bartosz Kwolek (20 points) and Jurij Gladyr’s powerful serves, Zawiercie took control early, claiming the first two sets with ease. A few lineup changes in the third set allowed Luneburg to grab a consolation win, but the “Jurassic Knights” quickly bounced back in the fourth to seal the match.
With this victory, Warta Zawiercie officially advances to the Champions League Final Four in Łódź, where they’ll battle for the biggest title in European volleyball. Miguel Tavares was named MVP for his outstanding performance.
