This information proves that this sport is getting more and more popular in this country. It’s for people over 60 years of age, the participation is free and even you get a free coffee! After finishing the tournament, all participants come together to eat sandwiches.
It interesting that all players warm up together before the start of the tournament. The ball is softer, the net is lower and the court is smaller.
“The main purpose is socializing. As simple as that. It is all about meeting some new people instead of sitting at home on a chair. You experience the joy of playing, the joy of being together with other people and making jokes. It is all about improving the quality of your life,” says Randi Fechtenburg for CEV, the consultant at Volleyball Denmark.
