SUI W: Volero’s 185-game winning streak has been interrupted at the start of 2017/18 season!

Until the eve of October 15, the Swiss Women’s Volleyball titleholders Volero have not suffered a single defeat in the home championship in 185 games. Measured by time, their run lasted from January 29, 2012.

But, in the first round of the 2017/18 Nationalliga A, VC Kanti Schaffhausen upset Volero 3-2 (24-26, 25-10, 19-25, 29-27, 16-14) at home to break the monstrous winning streak, probably the biggest-ever in the world volleyball, of the club from Zürich, who is an eight-time consecutive defending champion of Switzerland.
