France – Ukraine 3-2 (20-25, 25-23, 25-20, 18-25, 15-8), golden Set 15-11
It was very dramatic in third round of European Qualifications in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges where the French hosted Ukraine who won the first match 3-1.
At the end a golden set was decisive, Final result was 3-2 for the French (20-25, 25-23, 25-20, 18-25, 15-8). In golden set it was 15-11.
Ukrainian ladies had a great start of the second match, they won the first set, but the French were able to overturn in the next two sets and took a lead 2-1.
Ukraine had drawn to 2-2 and had a chance to win tie break and go to the EC. France played excellent in the fifth and in golden set to reach European championship.
Tetyana Kozlova from Ukraine won most points in the match, 21. In the winning team, Elisabeth Fedele had 19 points won.
France will have to face Belgium, Italy and hosts Switzerland in the battles of Pool B in Zurich at Europeam Championship 2013.
Czech Republic – Romania 3-1 (25-11, 25-18, 23-25, 25-22)
Czech team didn’t have much troubles against Romania.
After winning in the first legg (3-0), Czech ladies dropped only one set home at Metska hala Vodova, Brno (25-11, 25-18, 23-25, 25-22) and ended up in EC 2013 Pool D in Schwerin, Germany, along with Bulgaria, Poland and Serbia.
Aneta Havlickova from Czech Republic was the best player in the match with 19 points. In the Romanian national team it was Nneka Obiamaka Onyejekwe with 12 points.
