Opposite of the Brazilian national team and member of the French powerhouse Tours Volley Ball, Aboubacar Dramé Neto “Abouba” suffered an Achilles tendon rupture injury in the pre-season tournament, during the match against Montpellier HSC.
Abouba will undergo surgery in the next few days, and recovery is expected in about eight months. This is the Abouba first season in France after two previous ones spent in Italy where he played for Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia.
After winning the South American Championship, Abouba was one of the leading players of the current champions of France during the pre-season games, and he was expected to be one of the team leaders in all the challenges of the upcoming season.
