Though DRESDNER SC had already completed its roster this past August after signing Slovak middle-blocker Jaroslava Pencova, the team had to search for another player as US American opposite Meagan Ganzer was diagnosed with mononucleosis and was hence required to stop playing Volleyball for some time.

And DRESDNER SC eventually found a solution by signing Kristina Mikhailenko, a Belarusian opposite that recently competed in Dresden for the prelims of the 2013 EuroVolley.
DRESDNER SC head coach Alexander Waibl sounds very enthusiastic about Mikhailenko: “Kristina is very tall, athletic and young for she is only 21 years old. She has got a lot of potential. She will need a couple of days to get used to the team and get familiar with the city. However, she speaks good German and I am sure she will be fine in a very short time”.
Kristina stands at 188 cm and after playing for Minchanka MINSK, she represented the likes of Siodemka SK Bank LEGIONOWO in Poland. Mikhailenko signed a contract for one year after being scouted by the team during her outstanding performances at the EuroVolley in Dresden where Belarus made it through the prelims.
