A 25-year-old setter Femke Stoltenborg and 18-year-old receiver Nika Daalderop arrived to Stuttgart from Bundesliga rivals Ladies in Black Aachen. Actually, Stoltenborg returned to the club after one season. Both players are currently engaged in the 2017 Montreux Volley Masters.

Earlier, Stuttgart extended with two foreign receivers – Hungarian Renáta Sándor and Czech Michaela Mlejnková.

As for departures, German club remained without U.S. setter Valerie Nichol, Slovenian Karmen Kočar (also a setter), U.S. receiver Aiyana Whitney, her compatriot and middle blocker Nia Grant and another middle blocker – Jennifer Pettke.

As for the coaching staff, Stuttgart said goodbye to the head coach Guillerme Naranjo, one month ago. Spanish expert has chosen Romanian CSM Târgoviște instead of title holders from home country Naturhouse Ciudad de Logroño, as it was initially reported. Naranjo’s assistant, Greek Giannis Athanasopoulos, will be at helm of Stuttgart in 2017/2018.
