Cruz
In their debut season in Serie A1, Cuneo will be stronger for the Puerto Rican attacker Aurea Cruz.
Directly from Turkey to Italy came the 36-year-old Aurea who half the previous season played for Sariyer Belediyesi.
She is not unknown in Italy, she already played seven seasons there. The last time she was in Italy in the 2016/2017 season when she was a member of Savino Del Bene. Check her stats here.
She played for the National team until Olympic Games Rio 2016 where Puerto Rico finished in 11th place.
“I’m really happy to be in Cuneo. The club has strongly wanted me and I can only be very grateful. The project is serious and ambitious since is the first season in the A1 Series. They do not want to hurry but there is the desire to stay in A1 by playing a good championship. Cuneo is a historic team and I can not wait to return to the court and to play in a league of the highest level as Italian, in which teams and players are really very strong” said Aurea.
