ITAS DIATEC TRENTINO – TONNO CALLIPO VIBO VALENTIA 3-1 (25-10, 20-25, 34-32, 25-15)

ITAS DIATEC TRENTINO: Kaziyski 12, Birarelli 4, Della Lunga 1, Juantorena 16, Zygadlo 3, Vieira De Oliveira 3, Lanza 5, Sokolov 12, Djuric 7, Colaci (L), Stokr 12, Bari (L), Burgsthaler 3. Coach. Stoytchev.

TONNO CALLIPO VIBO VALENTIA: Falasca 4, Coscione 2, Serafini, Cernic 16, Diaz 14, Rak 9, Klapwijk 13, Barone, Fanuli (L), Nikolov 6. DNP Mignolo, Grassano, Banderò. Coach. Blengini.

Matey Kaziyski (Itas Diatec Trentino): “We should not have thought the game would have all gone easy like in the first set. In the second we struggled but we stepped up when needed, in the middle of the third. I am happy because these are three very important points”.

Luis Augusto Diaz (Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia): “Trento plays spectacular volleyball and they can do that even when starters are rested. In the first set, Stoytchev’s moves surprised us a bit but from the second set on we managed to get in the game and have a say in it. Obviously, if we had won the third set, we could even have taken all three points and that should be our main disappointment. It’s also true that our opponent is not the kind to give you many opportunities”.
