In a riveting encounter at the Palazzo Wanny, Savino Del Bene Scandicci emerged victorious against Igor Gorgonzola Novara with a 3-1 scoreline, concluding the eleventh round of the Serie A1 Tigotà.
Novara, hampered by player absences (Akimova and Chirichella) and featuring Durul and Bonifacio in the starting lineup, struggled initially. The first set was dominated by Scandicci, led by outstanding performances from Zhu and Antropova, culminating in a decisive 25-11 win. However, Novara showed resilience in the second set, pushing the match to a nail-biting 28-26. Although Novara managed to clinch the third set, Scandicci’s determination shone through in the fourth, sealing the match with a 25-21 victory. Beatrice Parrocchiale was named as MVP of the match (71% efficiency in reception and excellent defenses). Antropova and Zhu also shone with 28 and 19 points respectively for Savino Del Bene Scandicci. Novara’s Szakmary, Bosetti, Danesi, and Buijs made commendable contributions, scoring 16, 13, 12 and 12 points each.
