„I’ve just returned home from Brazil. The trip was very long and sleepless. I write these words to admit that I have committed an imprudence, a naivety that one professional, for more the captain of a team, should never do, especially when he travels to the world to represent his country,“ the setter stated.

„I deeply regret the situation that has been created, but I feel pretty mature and strong to bear any kind of judgment. There’s no need for excuses, victimization, it’s not my style. I’ll take everything there is to be taken. Because this is right. I just feel sorry for our supporters and for those who have always followed us with great affection. You are the first that doesn’t deserve anything of this. Go, Italy,“ Travica added.

As you all know, Travica, Zaytsev and two more players (who have also issued notes) were expelled from the national team because of the lack of discipline by the head coach Mauro Berruto.
