ITA W: Bonitta shortens list for World Olympic Qualifiers

Marco Bonitta, the head coach of Italy, shortened the list of players for the Olympic Qualifiers.

At the beginning of the month, Bonitta announced the wide list of 20 players which he took at start of preparations of Italy for the World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Tokyo, Japan (May 14-22). Now, he shortened it to 15 players.

Bonitta’s list of 15 players:

Berti, Danesi, Egonu, Guerra, Malinov, Orro, Spirito, Chirichella, Guiggi, Signorile, Gennari, Sylla, Diouf, Piccinini and Sirressi.

Actually, he haven’t shortened the 20’s list yet: he simply called the players that have already finished their season with the club.
BTW, there are exeptions: Sansonna, Signorile and Folie are in the 20’s list, but not in this one (and Berti the opposite). May be that’s mean they won’t go to Tokyo? Possible…

This is the whole list:
Setters: Malinov, Orro and Signorile
Opposites: Centoni, Diouf and Ortolani
Liberos: De Gennaro, Sansonna and Sirressi;
Receivers/outside hitters: Del Core, Egonu, Gennari, Guerra, Piccinini and Sylla
Middle blockers: Chirichella, Danesi, Folie, Guiggi and Melandri.
