Igor Volley Novara
The reigning champions Novara have scored the victory pretty much easily unlike Conegliano, that had to play five sets against Busto Arsizio.
Novara met Scandicci away and beat them in straight sets 3-0 (25-18, 27-25, 25-21). Paola Egonu had a good display in Novara (20 points), while in home team Isabelle Haak scored 27 points.
Imoco Volley Conegliano had a 2-0 lead but Busto have managed to tie the score and to force the tie-break. However, the away side didn’t want to lose the game and they played at the highest possible level to win it 3-2 (26-24, 25-17, 23-25, 24-26, 15-11). Samanta Fabris ended the game as the best scorer (31 points), Kimberly Hill added 23 and Robin De Kruijf 17! On the home side, Michelle Bartsch had 23, Valentina Diouf added 19.
After three consecutive defeats, Pomi Casalmaggiore have finally scored a win 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-20) against Lardini Filottrano. Brayelin Martinez has marked the game with 17 points.
We have to single out the performance of Monza’s captain Serena Ortolani, who scored 31 points in a defeat against Pesaro 3-2 (25-23, 25-19, 22-25, 22-25, 15-12).
Volley Bergamo have scored the first victory so far this season, beating Firenze in five sets:
