Besides training, the team coached by Oscar Licea will play some friendly matches against European squads such as Russia and Poland.
“This training camp in Russia will help us a lot in terms of preparation”, Licea said. “Most of the boys finished competing in the National Junior Olympic Championships a few days ago and we started our tour in Baja. This is part of the final stage prior to the World Championship.”
This will be the second overseas training camp for the Mexican boys as the national team spent also a two-week period in Saquarema, Brazil in early April.
During their stay in Brazil they played against local, regional and even the national team of the South American country, where the Mexican youngsters won a couple of matches.
