Avarca de Menorca have won their first-ever Spanish women’s volleyball Super Cup.

Menorca

Menorca

Avarca de Menorca defeated CV Sayre CC La Ballena by a clear victory of 3-0 (25-11, 25-19, 25-22) and conquered the 2020 Supercopa Iberdrola. Thus, they won their first-ever trophy in the competition after failing to take it on four occasions. Menorca did at home ground in Ciutadella, which makes this success sweeter.

The contribution of Argentine outside hitter from the gold medalists, Maira Westergaard, in the match reflected in 16 points (4 aces) was enough for her to be awarded MVP. María Antonia Gomila made 73 % reception (55 % excellent).

Recall who won the men’s Super Cup of Spain.
