After six months without official competition in Spain because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Super Cup was held in Teruel. The home side beat Almería in three sets, partially 25-19, 25-13, and 25-18 to lift their ninth Supercopa Masculina, the fifth in a row.
Only 300 spectators attended the encounter at the Pabellón Los Planos, which was the maximum capacity allowed by the current safety measures. The Teruel outside hitter Jordi Ramón top-scored in the gold medal match with 15 points, having also 89 % reception, and was elected MVP of the Super Cup.
