Victory means Tunisia are guaranteed to stay in the competition and contest positions fifth to eighth, whatever happens in their final pool match against hosts Brazil.

Ben Othmen Miladi and Ayech were Tunisia’s top scorers with 10 each, but the match’s top scorer was Dominican Republic’s Tapia Santana who scored 15 points.

After  rest day, it’s the final round of pool matches with Tunisia up against hosts Brazil, while Dominican Republic end their tournament against the pool’s other winless team Egypt.
