Daniele Santarelli has been appointed the head coach of the women’s volleyball national team of Serbia, the winner of the last FIVB World Championship.
The current head coach of the Italian club Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley Conegliano, Santarelli, has taken over the Serbia Women’s National Team. The Serbian federation (OSSRB) and the Italian expert agreed that the cooperation will last until 2025. The 40-year-old Santarelli will have a difficult task to carry on the legacy left by Zoran Terzić.
The Italian won 4 Italian titles with Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley Conegliano, the last three as the head coach (2015, 2018, 2019, and 2021), 3 Italian Cups (2017, 2020, and 2021), 4 Italian Super Cups (2016, 2018, 2019, and 2020), 1 world club title (2019) and 1 CEV Champions League (2021).
Santarelli was at the helm of the Croatia Women’s National Team in the last 4 years.
