ŁKS interrupted the five-year dominance of Chemik Police and won the Polish Championship again after 36 years. ŁKS clinched the last and only title before this one came in 1983. Last season, they were close to winning the championship trophy but have fallen to Chemik in the finals.
ŁKS defeated Budowlani for the third time in as many games in the Liga Siatkówki Kobiet 2018/2019 playoff finals and for the third time in the tie-break: 25-10, 16-25, 25-22, 23-25, 15-9.
Brazilian Regiane Bidias top-scored for ŁKS with 24 points but Klaudia Alagierska was named MVP of the match – 14 points, 80% attack (8/10) and 5 kill blocks. Serbian Jovana Brakočević-Canzian put down 33 points for Budowlani.
