Kłos eased the situation, not wanting to further go into an argument regarding the comments that Spiridonov posted on Twitter. Although Russian player did not mention Kłos by the name in the comments, he commented on the post of Poland captain by using vulgar words. Due to this, the Polish Volleyball Federation (PZPS) urged International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VFV) to punish Spiridonov.
Widziałem komentarz Rosjanina do całej sprawy… jeżeli tylko ja jestem Polska K***a, a nie cały naród, to luz Dajmy spokój i na tym zakończmy
— Karol Kłos (@KaarolKlos) July 20, 2019
“I saw the comment of the Russian on the whole matter… If only I am Polish whore and not the whole nation, it’s easy. Let’s give it a rest and finish it,“ Kłos wrote on Twitter.
The VFV President stated that no request from the PZPS came to their address, so far.
