The pressure is rising before the start of the FIVB Men’s Volleyball International Qualifier for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (August 9-11). Out of 6 tournaments, Pool D in Gdańsk, Poland, seems like the most competitive. Logically, because it contains such world Volleyball powerhouses like the hosts Poland and France. Let’s not forget Slovenia.

Poland national team setter Fabian Drzyzga calms down media and fans in the country who are putting a lot of pressure on a newcomer in the squad, Wilfredo León.

“In my opinion, he would like to be left alone. For sure, he’s irritated by the same questions about his debut, about the team, about Poland. I think he would like to focus only on Volleyball. We need to let him be a 100% Polish national team player. He needs to have a clear head and have space to think only about Volleyball,“ Drzyzga said to Prawda Siatki.

Take a look at Poland’s roster for the Qualifying Tournament.
