After about 20 years of supporting Bydgoszcz volleyball, “Rieber Foods” has reduced its support so the name Delecta Bydgoszcz disappeared from the PlusLiga dictionary. The new title sponsor of the club was presented at the press conference.

Bydgoszcz Auction House “Transfer” is a company that is engaged in providing short-term loans and mortgages. Besides, it also invests in the construction of the apartments.

“Transfer” decided to promote itself through investment in sport and, so for at least one year, the team formerly known as Delecta will play in PlusLiga as Transfer Bydgoszcz.

“We considered the possibility of name Byzdgosz to be “forever”, like FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. However, we stayed at the option of the sponsor in the name of the club all the time because my ambition is to fight for the medals. Since this is a trustworthy sponsor who wants to build its brand by investing in men’s volleyball, why not take the advantage? For a moment we thought even on a four-words name, but it would be unreadable,” commented Bydgoszcz president Piotr Sieńko.

He added: “Our budget is still much smaller than those other teams in the league have, but we have our way of spending money and last season showed that we can do it well.”
