After the departure of Daniel Castellani, Indykpol AZS Olsztyn found his successor.

Marco Bonitta is the new head coach of Indykpol AZS Olsztyn. After 5 seasons in Ravenna, Marco Bonitta and Consar Porto Robur Costa Ravenna and Marco Bonitta part ways by mutual agreement.

Bonitta started his coaching career in Ravenna (Messaggero and Olimpia Teodora). He achieved his first successes with the women’s team Foppapedretti Bergamo. He won Italian Super Cup three times (1997, 1998, 1999), Italian Championship twice (1998, 1999), Italian Cup (1998) and European Champions Cup, (1999, 2000).   

In 2001, Marco Bonitta became the coach of the Italian women’s national team. In the same year, the team won a silver medal at the European Championships, and a year later became the best team in the world. His successes include silver medals in the women’s Grand Prix edition (2004, 2005) and winning the prestigious Volley Masters Montreux tournament. 

He was also the head coach of the Polish women’s national team. Bonitta took over the team in 2007 and during that time the team qualified for the Grand Prix finals and the Beijing Olympics.
