As it was revealed on the club website, Dick Kooy has joined the PGE Skra Bełchatów trainings and started preparations for the new season. For now, he will train with PGE Skra team with the aim of personal preparation, as well as helping the team in the preparation period for the new club season. PGE Skra Belchatow did not start trainings with all team members due to the absence of national team players of Poland, Serbia, the United States and Iran.
“As in previous seasons, due to the preparations of the national teams for the European Championship, we will not start training with the full squad. Only half of the players will be from our team, so Dick Kooy has joined the team since the first training session. The possible stay of the player in the club will be analyzed and decided in the coming weeks” – says Konrad Piechocki, president of KPS Skra Bełchatów SA.
As it looks now, it is very likely that after the engagement of Aleksandar Atanasijevic and new coach Slobodan Kovac, PGE Skra Belchatow will get another big reinforcement for next season. It would be fierce competition at the outside hitter position. (Taylor Sander, Milad Ebadipour, Robert Taht … and possibly Dick Kooy?)
