Anastasija Kravcenoka and Tina Graudina achieved a convincing victories at the start of EuroBeachVolley. In an incredible atmosphere at the Red Bull Arena, the Latvians successfully started their journey on EuroBeachVolley 2021, winning both matches in two sets in their Pool D against Placette & Richard (FRA) and Wojtasik & Kociolek (POL). This victories guaranteed them the top of the Pool and place directly in the round of 16.
After the withdrawal of the bronze medal winners from Tokyo, Joana Heidrich and Anouk Vergé-Dépré from Switzerland, and the experienced German duo Laura Ludwig and Maggie Kozuch, the Latvians are considered the main favorites. Anastasija Kravcenoka and Tina Graudina are the fourth placed team from the Tokyo Olympics.
