The Argentine coach Raúl Lozano was asked to rate chances of Poland’s National Team at the European Qualifying Tournament for Rio Olympics, in January 2016. He suggested that Poland have players that are strong enough to achieve that goal and they don’t need any new players in roster.

“Poland have balanced group of players. When Michał Kubiak was out during the World Cup, Michał Winiarski showed up and gave a sense of balance. It’s vice versa, as well. In the current squad, Artur Szalpuk or Rafał Buszek must still gain some experience. Now Kubiak and Mateusz Mika are the players without whom I cannot imagine the Polish National Team. That’s why I was surprised when I heard that the Polish National Team needs Wifredo León,” Lozano, the coach of Cerrad Czarni Radom and Iran’s National Team (only formalities remained to be agreed), said about possibility that Cuban León joins Polish NT.
