Polish media write that the atmosphere inside Skra squad has not been good since the beginning of the season.

Miguel Falasca is no longer head coach of PGE Skra Belchatow. Two sides have terminated the contract after a mutual agreement, while the club wished all the best to the Spanish coach in his future career. But, why did Falasca have to leave the club at this moment?

According to sport.pl, he left because of the conflicts inside the team.

“The official statement was announced on our website. Unfortunately, the recent events that occurred within the squad meant that Falasca lost the opportunity to work with the team any longer. During the Monday’s meeting we came to the conclusion that it is for the best to terminate the contract. On behalf of the club I would like to thank Miguel for everything he has done for Skra,” said club’s president Konrad Piechocki for sport.pl.

The article further says that those “events within the squad” actually point out to the conflict between two sides. On one side were Nicolas Uriarte and Facundo Conte, while on the other was Mariusz Wlazly. Allegedly, Falasca has openly sided with Argentine players and therefore he could not continue with his job.

Axe maybe this will shock you a little, but in Poland, where we could read many more about this and we watched their behaviour on the court, I have impression that majority of people here stand rather by Falasca and Conte side. Conte words was unnecessary but this what have Piechocki done is horrible. Falasca deserved for huge thanks for this what he have done to Skra, he was not only coach there, but also the player.

Poko It is very sad that this players didn’t understand the importance of the games and F4… In many teams there are players that do go together but they still play and resist until the end of the season! But there are also many players that think they are above other players, coach, team manager, sport director and even president. And you know why? Because they HIDE behind the name of the club and they always say they do it FOR the club! And worse: presidents take that in consideration and the first one to be sacrificed are coach (specially if he is foreign) and foreign players. And you will see that after career Wlazly will stay in the club to work as reward for what he did!!!

I think all of you have a point here, but Conte’s words (true or not) are a bit over the top. He forgot who he was playing against, I mean Zenit is the reigning Champion’s league winner, they are dominating Russia’s domestic championship, and they have probably some of the strongest names in volleyball now. Not to mention Vladimir Alekno is probably the best coach in the world and he did his homework when they lost the match in Kazan. Zenit simply served very strong and their block was perfect against Wlazly and Marechal. Conte somehow managed to do a very good game, but that does not excuse his words, because a player cannot always perform at his highest especially with this opposition. Biggest mistake here for Falasca (in my humble opinion) is that he took a side, which is unacceptable for a coach in any ranks. He should’ve tried to fix this problem instead of picking a side.

Victor Petrov, but this wasn’t one situation. Bad atmosphere lasted even few months and it’s not about this match with Zenit but also former matches and attidute to them. Everyone knew that chance to win with Zenit was’t big. Club president made ‘private manor’ like we call this in polish in Skra. He changed one of the best libero in the world – Zatorski to his young son, who doesn’t present level which is need in fight with good teams. And doesn’t let to say bad word about his son. He is also Wlazły manager and everything always has to be like this two said. And about this that ‘Falasca took Conte side’ as yet it’s only Piechocki words and he’s already managed to lied about this issue. I’m really curious what Falasca will say in Friday. But it seems to me that he will not add fuel to the flames and will say something diplomatic
