It was the first real preseason test for both sides. Jastrzebski Wegiel eventually triumphed after 4 sets, while the top scorers in the winning team were Salvador Hidalgo with 23 points and Maciej Muzaj with 22 points.
On the other side, Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle could not count on their Olympians, so they played this game without Benjamin Toniutti, Pawel Zatorski, Rafal Buszek, Kevin Tillie, Dawid Konarski, Mateusz Bieniek, while Gregorsz Bociek also missed this clash. The top scorers in the reigning Polish champions were Dominik Witczak with 13 points and Kamil Semeniuk with 11 points.
