An experienced Bulgarian outside hitter Matey Kaziyski is another piece of the 2018/19 puzzle for the ambitious Stocznia Szczecin project that already included well-known players like Bartosz Kurek and Łukasz Żygadło and Kaziyski‘s compatriot, coach Radostin Stoytchev, who will serve as a sporting director.
A 33-year-old player is a living volleyball legend who has won a national title in Bulgaria, Russia, Turkey, Japan, and Italy – in some of these leagues more than once. He hung the CEV Champions League gold medal around his neck three times and the FIVB Club World Championship gold medal four times. Individually, he earned the CEV Champions League, FIVB World Club Championship, and Italian championship MVP finals award, and these are only some of his awards.

I played matches with the national team in the Champions League many times, so I experienced this doping atmosphere that prevails during matches. It really made a big impression on me and I always had the idea in my mind of playing somewhere here. I’m glad that now such an opportunity has emerged and I’ll have the opportunity to defend the colors of Stocznia Szczecin,“ the Bulgarian superstar, who came to Szczecin from the Japanese club JTEKT Stings, stated.
