Saša Starović for WoV: “It’s nothing serious, I just want to be 100% ready for the next season”

Immediately after we announced that Saša Starović will not play for Serbia in the World League due to finger injury, we received many messages with more or less the same question – How serious the injury is?

Therefore we contacted Starović in search for a proper answer. This is what the Serbian player said for WorldofVolley.

“I had a talk with head coach Nikola Grbić and together we came to the conclusion that I skip the World League, in order to fully recover from an old little finger injury. It’s nothing serious, I just want to be 100% ready for the next season. Considering that the World League is the only major tournament for Serbia in 2016 we decided that it is for the best that I do not risk anything,” said Starović.

Saša Starović had a pretty amazing finish of the past season when he was one of the best players of Verona. We are still about to see if he will stay in the Italian club or he might go somewhere else…
