As it is known from earlier, the Italian setter Michele Baranowicz returned to play in his home country. Halkbank also decided not to renew the contracts with three other foreigners: Slovenian outside hitter Alen Šket, Serbian opposite hitter Dražen Luburić (might join Belogorie Belgorod, Russia), and French outside hitter Guillaume Quesque.
As for the arrivals, Halkbank closed the deal with outside hitters – Gökhan Gökgöz (İstanbul BBSK) and Moldovian Dmitrii Bahov (Tokat Bld. Plevne), Bulgarian setter Georgi Seganov (Maliye Piyango), opposite hitter Metin Toy (İstanbul BBSK), and libero Volkan Döne (Ziraat Bankası).
