Halkbank began practicing with only six players: Matey Kaziyski, Osmany Juantorena, Raphael de Oliveira, Mitar Djuric, Burutay Subaşı and Vefa Yılmaz.
Other Turkish players train with the national team of Turkey, preparing for EuroVolley 2013.
“We started with trainings three months after Halkbank’s last game in the last season. Players of Turkish national team do not train with us, so we had to begin training with other players,” said Stoytchev.
“There is a very tight schedule of encounters before us. We will open the season with a match for Super Cup of Turkey. I will try to do a good job with talented players that we have. With Halkbank I will target the first places in all competitions in which we will participate,” added Bulgarian coach.
