After spending a long and successful adventure in France, how does it feel to be in Istanbul in VakıfBank?

“Yes, I spent very pleasant days in France and felt at home there. I was very happy to play for RC Cannes but now I’m in Istanbul and I’m sure I will experience the same feelings here as well. Istanbul is a very nice city and VakıfBank is a very good team.  Before arriving here, I heard very good reviews about the club through Jelena Nikolić and Jovana Brakočević who used to play here and I hope it’ll be a very good season for us.”

Serbian players who have lived in Istanbul have adapted themselves to the city very quickly, what do you think of Istanbul and how your life might be ?

“I think Serbian and Turkish people are very similar and I think I will adapt very quickly. I think I will spend a decent and nice time here.”

VakıfBank aims to stay at the top again this season, so what are your expectations for the new season?

“I really want the best of everything and if we do our best while playing and work very hard I know we will receive very good results. In the Turkish League or European Champions League, I don’t think if we receive any results other than championships will ever be enough for us. So our only aim is becoming champions in every tournament.”

You played for far the strongest team in France, but the Turkish league is much competitive and intense. Are you prepared for this?

“That’s why I am here. The French league was okay, that’s why winning the French League with RC Cannes wasn’t so difficult. Our opponents in the French League weren’t that challenging compared to our opponents now in the Turkish League. Now every match is going to be tough and competitive and I like that.”

You played a lot of games against VakifBank. Who were the most challenging attacking players?

“Last season Jovana and Gözde were very challenging for me and we prepared a lot to take precautions against them. Especially Gözde, her blocks, defense and attacks were extremely tough for me.”

And finally, what would you like to say to big VakifBank Family and supporters?

“I’m very happy to be here meeting new people and I think I will feel at home here. I’ve heard very good things about this place. I want my story to continue here and I want everyone that supports us to know that I will do my best.”
