The seven-day course started on September 24

At the ceremony, the 14 course participants were joined by CEV president and FIVB 2nd executive vice-president André Meyer, Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) president Erol Unal Karabiyik, CEV vice-president Sinem Mavili, CEV Referee Commission member Nihat Ermihan, FIVB course director Gyula Radi, FIVB course instructor Jean-Claude Baccus and Aziz Yener from the TVF.

Meyer expressed his special thanks to the TVF and wished all the candidates good luck in their future refereeing life.

The importance of refereeing is obvious and it cannot be separated from volleyball,” added Karabiyik. “And having Mr Meyer with us today shows the importance the FIVB gives to educating our future referees.” Karabiyik also thanked Radi and Baccus for their contributions.
