In Pool D, China rallied from 1-2 set deficit to edge Korea in a thrilling five set battle (25-21, 23-25, 20-25, 25-23, 15-7), to finish top in Pool D with five points. Korea collected four points while Kazakhstan did not win any match.
Trailing 2-1, China made a comeback in the fourth set behind the amazing blocking game of Wang Hao and Han Tiamyi and powerful spiking by Jin Zhihong who led the other three Chinese with double figures in scoring 15 points. Meanwhile, Chinese player made fewer errors.
China had a 15-6 block advantage in the victory and made only 25 errors compared with 43 by Koreans.
