WAGNER MEMORIAL: Poland defeat Canada, first set brings real excitement!

Poland have scored the first victory at the Hubert Wagner Memorial tournament.

Ferdinando De Giorgi’s side has defeated Canada after a stunning game, especially the first set where both sides played at a really high level, ending set after 70 points.

In the second set, Poland had a little bit easier job to complete while in the third set we watched drama again, but the home side has somehow prevailed over the rival. 

Wagner Memorial, the second day:

Poland – Canada 3-0 (36-34, 25-20, 26-24)

Russia France 18:00

The first day:

Canada – Russia 1-3 (23-25, 25-27, 25-22, 17-25)

Poland – France 2-3 (25-22, 16-25, 20-25, 25-22, 13-15)
