Today’s second match was not less hard-fought and emotional with the home heroes eventually surrendering to their opponents from Sweden after 2 hours and 9 minutes of tough play.
The local guys claimed a close first set (25-21) before Sweden fought back to go for the provisional 2:1 (25-14, 25-20). Montenegro could extend the match to the tie-break by taking set 4 (25-19) but there Sweden wrapped it up after missing on four match balls to seal that tight affair at 16-14.
Finland rounded out the program with a speedy win in straight sets (25-22, 25-18, 25-16) over Belarus dominating the scene there all the way through especially with some spectacular actions in offense.
