In Italy, Igor Gorgonzola Novara, led by Lorenzo Bernardi, overturned a 3-1 deficit from the first leg against Kuzeyboru Aksaray with a commanding 3-0 victory in front of a roaring home crowd at Pala Igor. Tatiana Tolok stole the show with a stunning 32-point display. The decisive Golden Set saw Novara dominate 15-5, sealing their place in the quarterfinals with grit and flair.
Meanwhile, in Poland, MOYA Radomka Radom pulled off a similar comeback against France’s Vandoeuvre Nancy VB. After losing the first leg 3-1, Radomka swept the return leg 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 37-35) in an epic match that included a marathon third set. The nerve-wracking Golden Set went down to the wire, with Radomka edging out an 18-16 victory to secure their spot in the next round.
In Turkey, Türk Hava Yolları (THY) cruised past Belgium’s Asterix Avo Beveren in straight sets (25-19, 25-23, 25-17). With their dominant win, THY confidently advanced to the quarterfinals.
