In a significant move that didn’t come as a complete surprise, Lube Volley Civitanova announced that Coach Gianlorenzo Blengini has resigned, a decision that the club has accepted. This follows Blengini’s own admissions after Sunday’s match at the Kioene Arena, where he took full responsibility for the team’s loss, citing a failure to properly motivate the players. His resignation is seen as an attempt to revitalize the team ahead of their upcoming 5th Place Play Off matches.
For the remainder of the season, Romano Giannini will take over as the head coach of Cucine Lube Civitanova, with Enrico Massaccesi serving as assistant coach.
The club expressed its gratitude towards Blengini, who, during his tenure, led Lube to three Italian Championships and one Italian Cup, wishing him success in his future endeavors.
