The Iranians are currently competing at the men’s Asian championship which kicked off on July 24 in Indonesia. It happened just after the game against the host team in the quarterfinals, when Indonesia managed to make a sensational result, knocking out the big favorite Iran – 3:2.
The Iranian Volleyball Federation have written about it on the official Twitter account:
“Gholami was excluded from the squad because he got into a debate with one of his teammates and then left the training session without permission of Igor Kolakovic.”
Igor Kolakovic has commented on this unpleasant situation:
“I respect Gholami as a human and a player, but such temperaments do not deserve the national team,” says Montenegrin coach.
Recall that this is not the only case of expelling the player from national team, since the Italian Volleyball Federation expelled Ivan Zaytsev a week ago.
