Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle prevailed in their first match of the new season of the Polish Men’s Volleyball Championship.
The Polish champions, Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, came back after losing 0-6 in the fourth set to triumph over the home side, Indykpol AZS Olsztyn, with a score of 3-1 in their inaugural match of the 2022-23 PlusLiga. The guests came to the match weakened because Marcin Janusz, their starting setter and a member of the country’s national team, didn’t play due to illness.
Łukasz Kaczmarek highlighted the offensive play of ZAKSA with 24 points. Wojciech Żaliński served 4 aces. Ukrainian middle blocker, Dmytro Pashytskyy, made 5 stuffs. Karol Butryn scored 18 points for Olsztyn.
