ASK Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Superliga team, announced the departure of their Croatian opposite, Leo Andrić.
Leo Andrić, who had previously played for ASK during the 2021/22 season, rejoined the team this summer. He was expected to fill the void left by Pavel Zheleznyakov, who had transferred to Zenit St. Petersburg. Unfortunately, Andrić came back with an injury.
During his recent integration into the Nizhny Novgorod team, Andrić faced complications from a leg injury. Although initially optimistic, doctors later concluded that his recovery would require an extended period. Consequently, the player and the club reached a mutual decision to part ways. The official statement from ASK expressed their best wishes for Andrić, hoping for his quick recovery and eventual return to the volleyball court.
In the wake of this development, ASK Nizhny Novgorod has initiated the search for a new foreign player to take on the opposite position.
